Pink stopped halfway through an acoustic version of ‘Who Knew’ at a concert in Philadelphia to comfort a young girl who was crying.

Maternal instincts kicked in for Pink, herself a mother to 21 month old daughter Willow, on Sunday night when she noticed the young girl crying in the audience.

“Is everything okay right here? Is this little girl all right? Why is she crying? Why is she upset?” asked the singer, after gesturing to her guitarist to stop the song.

“Because there was a fight?” she responded, as audience members explained. “You all are fighting around a little girl?”

As the crowd reacted to the explanation, the Philadelphia native softened a bit. “C’mon…all right, all right, I know, everyone’s about to fight. I know, I’m from here.”

She offered her young fan, who was dressed all in pink, a toy frog and Rice Krispie treat, with nearby audience members passing them back to the girl, who was still looking quite apprehensive.

“You’re beautiful, don’t cry. Cry when you’re older,” she quipped, before making a hugging gesture. “Thank you for coming.”

As she went to return to her song, which she started from the top, she gave the crowd her final thoughts on the matter.

“Cut it out, y’all,” she said. “We’re grown-ass women.”

Pink will be in Australia from late June until early September for her massive ‘The Truth About Love’ tour, which has sold over 400,000 tickets.
