Pixies Drop their new song ‘Catfish Kate’

by Paul Cashmere on August 7, 2019

in News

Pixie have released a second song from their upcoming album ‘Beneath The Eyrie’.

And so we hear, “the animated new music video ventures deep into the imagination of the band’s main lyricists Black Francis. The clip weaves the bizarre lyrical and visual tale of mountain woman Kate’s simple task to catch a fish for that night’s dinner, and what occurs that has her known forever after as “Catfish Kate.”

Two weeks ago Pixies released the first track from the album ‘On Graveyard Hill’.

‘Beneath the Eyrie’ was recorded at Dreamland Studios near Woodstock by Tom Dalgety. All songs were written by Black Francis. The album is out 13 September 2019.

Pixies will perform their first two released on their Australian tour in Match 2020.
