Prince has added a third Melbourne concert for May.

The Prince Welcome 2 Australia tour went on sale this morning with initially three shows announced but within minutes the Sydney and Melbourne shows were sold out and more shows were added.

Now a third Melbourne show has been added for May 30 at Rod Laver Arena, 12 days after what was scheduled as the last show on May 18 in Brisbane.

The big question now is why the big gap. Prince has a show set for June 8 in Seattle but there is nothing planned for between May 18 in Brisbane and May 30 in Melbourne.

Prince Welcome 2 Australia dates are now:

May 11 and 12, Sydney, Allphones Arena
May 14 and 15, Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena
May 18, Brisbane, Entertainment Centre
May 30, Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena
