Richard Clapton will continue his party that never ends with his 12th annual Past Hits and Previews show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.

“Welcome to the party that never ends,” Richard says. “On the 28th June 2008, I played my first concert at The State Theatre in Sydney – OMG, has it been that long? Last year we decided to hold the annual concert at the Enmore Theatre, and the night was a resounding success. So, although we have moved a little further into the rock domain, this annual pilgrimage is still that special night of the year for you, for me and the band. For some time now the band and I have been sneaking into the studio and working on a top-secret project, which will be a new album released in the coming months. We are calling it top-secret because we don’t want every other bastard stealing our idea! So, this year at the Enmore we are going to preview a few of these tracks for the first time. Are we gonna play Deep Water and Capricorn Dancer? Oh Duh! When have I ever not played those songs? So yes, there will be lots of classic songs in the set as well – I can’t want to see you all there.”

Tickets go on sale on 9am AEST on Monday 17th June 2019. An exclusive venue pre-sale will be available on Friday 14th June 2019.

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
