Rita Ora Gets A Rush From The Stage

Singer Rita Ora loves the adrenaline rush she gets before hitting the stage.

Since her 2012 breakout track R.I.P., the star has released a number-one album and taken a seat as judge-and-mentor on the UK version of The Voice and now The X Factor.

She might have been in the game for a few years now, but singing live is still as exciting to the 24-year-old star.

“Before performing I just do some warm-ups on my voice and then some breathing techniques,” she revealed to Britain’s OK! magazine. “I get an adrenaline rush but it’s fun.”

Her infectious attitude and social media presence means the star is a huge inspiration to young girls all over the world. When it comes to being a role model, Rita knows exactly what she wants to encourage.

“I want them to be themselves and be able to express themselves through their style,” she smiled. “My mother has always inspired me – her hard work and ambition taught me a lot. My dream is to live the life I love and create. Just always do your best and believe. I hope I’m an inspiration for young people to be their best.”

But of course Rita knows she’s not perfect and is also happy to acknowledge her flaws. She cites being open and friendly as something that’s actually positive but can also work against her.

In the end, she thinks it’s her hard work and respect that got her where she is today. And she hopes that young women everywhere will follow her lead and support each other on the road to success.

“Women sticking together, having a good time, supporting each other and each other’s work,” she smiled when asked what girl power means to her.

In keeping with a girl power theme, Rita recently revealed she’d love to recreate all-female smash hit Lady Marmalade (original line-up Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Maya and Pink).

“I’m trying to round up the troops. I think it would be me, Miley (Cyrus), Charli XCX – she’d be fun – and Iggy (Azalea),” she said.
