Rita Ora Says We Misunderstand Her

Rita Ora apparently feels “very misunderstood”.

The singer-and-actress has had various high-profile relationships, including a brief fling with Rob Kardashian and a ten-month romance with DJ Calvin Harris.

Her most recent relationship with Ricky Hilfiger lasted a year, with the pair splitting last month. It was reported the son of designer Tommy Hilfiger, who is a model and a rapper, was penning lyrics about Rita. Apparently it was all too much for the hurt 24-year-old.

“She is a strong-minded person, but she also has a very sensitive side,” an insider explained to British magazine Star. “There’s only so many hurtful digs she can take. She feels very misunderstood.”

Recently Rita addressed the gossip about Ricky, discussing the term “maneater” being used in relation to her.

“I don’t understand why [people] all have to give me this title. It’s not true. I’m actually a very pure, innocent soul. Shall I say thanks?” she told We Love Pop magazine.

“I think sometimes, when you have a woman that has a motive and is career-driven, it becomes intimidating.”

Rita and Ricky’s romance isn’t the only one that turned sour. When she split from Calvin, who is now dating Taylor Swift, he stopped her from performing their collaboration I Will Never Let You Down.

When her relationship with Rob ended, he humiliated her on Twitter, claiming she had cheated on him with several men.

For now, Rita has her career to focus on, with the singer appearing as a judge on the upcoming X Factor UK.
