Ronnie James Dio Returns From The Dead To Sing At Pollstar Awards

The late Ronnie James Dio performed at the 28th Annual Pollstar Awards on Thursday night at the Novo in Los Angeles thanks to the folks at Eyellusion.

Dio appeared in the form of a hologram and the advancement of the technology is easily seen. Earlier “performances” of dead artists on the concert stage have often seemed almost transparent and rather ghostly where the newest take on the technology, while not perfect, does have a more 3-D feel save for a bit of shimmering around the edges.

REALLY playing on stage were the band Dio Disciples with Craig Goldy, Simon Wright, Scott Warren, Bjorn Englen, Oni Logan, Mark Boals and Tim “Ripper” Owens.
