Rose Tattoo To Reissue Blood Brothers

by Paul Cashmere on March 12, 2018

in News

Rose Tattoo will re-reissue an expanded edition of the 2007 album Blood Brothers ahead of their Australian tour.

The decade old album is still the most recent Rose Tattoo album. The line-up of the Tatts for Blood Brothers was lead singer Angry Anderson, guitarists Mick Cocks and Dai Pritchard, bassist Stephen King, and drummer Paul DeMarco.

Angry Anderson has an all-new Rose tattoo for the Blood Brothers tour. The current band is a supergroup featuring Mark Evans of AC/DC on bass, Angels & Skyhooks axeman Bob Spencer, Aussie Crawl’s John ‘Watto’ Watson on drums and Dai Pritchard on slide guitar.

The Blood Brothers tour will pay tribute to the Rose Tattoo members no longer with the band. Four members of the band have passed away, Dallas “Digger” Royal in 1991, Pete Wells and Ian Rilen in 2006, and Lobby Loyde in 2007.

The re-issue features live versions of some of the albums finest tracks, including Man About Town, Black Eyed Bruiser, Once In A Lifetime, Sweat Meat, Standover Man and Nothing To Lose.

Leo Sayer Shares His Thoughts on The Passing of Sly Stone

There really is a riot going on right now, so what a poignant moment it seems to be to lose a hero I never met, yet a man I often imagined as my soul brother. I worked with many of his alumni (including the man who helped invent him, fellow San Fran disk jockey Tom Donahue), and to say they and he inspired me would be a useless understatement.
