Ryan Adams has released his new album, a complete cover version of Taylor Swift’s smash album 1989.
While the CD version won’t be out until November 5, the album is available as of today on download sites such as iTunes and Amazon.
Adams has been an admirer of Swift’s for some time and has written and recorded music with her that is yet to be released. When he first heard 1989 late last year, he was struck by the brilliance of the album and immediately started making plans to record the music in some form. While his initial attempt to make the album his own didn’t work out, he returned to the studio earlier this year and successfully recorded his own versions of every track.
Even Swift has been very excited about the release as today approached.
