Scalper Preferred Site Viagogo Selling Charity Tickets At Inflated Prices Ahead of On-Sale Date

Viagogo, the go-to site for scalpers, is selling tickets to the Stuart Fraser fundraiser at up to four times the tickets face value.

Tickets for the Playing It Forward charity event starring John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes and Noiseworks officially go on sale on Friday. A number of pre-sale tickets were made available early but fell into the hands of scalpers who have already put them up for sale at Viagogo for up to $450 a piece.

If you buy tickets from Viagogo there is no guarantee the tickets are genuine. If you are lumped with a fake ticket you will be refused entry to the event.

Viagago was selling John Farnham Wollongong tickets 10 minutes after they went to pre-sale last week for more than double face value. The company has become a thorn in the side of the Australian live music industry.

Regional Touring promoter Duane McDonald wants changes made to the law to stop sites scalping tickets. “To the scum of the earth people listing these tickets on Viagogo, we hope you get stuck with them. The sooner laws are passed in this country to stop maggots like you the better,” he said.

Tickets for Playing It Forward, the Stuart Fraser benefit will officially go on sale Friday June 9 at 2pm. Only buy tickets from Ticketek or follow this link https://www.frontiertouring.com/playingitforward

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
