Stereophonic’s Melbourne concert tonight has been cancelled because lead singer Kelly Jones has fallen ill. (July 23, 2013).

Stereophonics were due to play their second Melbourne concert tonight at The Palace with special guests Atlas Genius.

Because of timing the show cannot be rescheduled.

A statement from Kelly reads:

“I regret, that due to a respiratory infection I will not be able to perform tonight in Melbourne. This is only the second show we have cancelled in 17 years and no one is more disappointed than I am not to be able to rock n’ roll tonight”.

Promoter Live Nation advises that all ticket holders may obtain a full refund from the point of purchase.

Information for ticket holders:

For all tickets booked online or by phone, the credit card used in the booking will automatically be refunded. Patrons should allow up to five days to receive their refund.

If the original credit card used for the purchase has been cancelled or no longer valid (eg: prepaid Visa / MasterCard), patrons should contact Ticketmaster on 136 100 by 5pm on the Friday August 2nd, 2013 to arrange a refund cheque.

If the booking was made in person at a Ticketmaster outlet, the tickets must be returned to the outlet where the booking was made along with the ticket(s) and credit card used to make the purchase, to obtain the refund.

At this time it is anticipated that the Perth performance at Metro City on Thursday, July 25 will proceed as scheduled.
