After a couple of years of touring with Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel, Sting is ready to go back out on the road as a solo act.

Sting is promoting his latest album, 57th & 9th, which came out last week. Unlike the majority of his albums over the last decade-plus, this one is concentrated firmly in the rock and pop genres.

The new tour covers North America from February 1 to March 14 before moving to Europe from March 21 to April 13. Dates for South America and Asia will be released soon.

Joining Sting in his band will be guitarist, Dominic Miller, Josh Freese (drums) and Rufus Miller (guitar). Special guests include singer/songwriter Joe Sumner as well as San Antonio-based Tex Mex band, The Last Bandoleros.

Sting fan club members will be able to buy tickets from tomorrow (November 15) while Citi Club members can buy tickets for North American dates starting Thursday. General ticket sales start Friday, November 18.
