Sunnyboys Announce Dates for 40th Anniversary

by Paul Cashmere on October 25, 2019

in News

Sunnyboys will perform 2020 dates to mark the 40 years since the band formed in 1980.

In a statement Jeremy Oxley said, “You can’t keep a good band down. These new and revitalised songs take it back to the reason behind the band in the first instance. The 40 years in between is nicely depicted in the change in voice while the energy and craftsmanship is still there in the sound, albeit a little fuller and rounder. I guess, it’s just like us too really… “ –

The Sunnyboys will release Sunnyboys 40, an eight track disc with the 1980 7 inch featuring the original version of ‘Alone With You’ and four new tracks. There will be not only a vinyl edition of Sunnyboys 40 but also a cassette edition.
