The Beatles Yellow Submarine Is Coming To Lego

Get ready for Lego figures of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr along with the Yellow Submarine in one of the latest releases from the brick company.

Out on November 1, the set will run $60, a price point that would better put it at the Sharper Image or Brookstone instead of Toys R Us. That will get you over 550 bricks to assemble your very own submarine along with the four Beatles and a “Jeremy” figure (known in the film, but not in Legoworld, as Jeremy Hillary Boob).

The only reason fans are getting this piece is that a fan, Kevin Szeto, submitted the idea on the Lego website and his idea received over 10,000 votes. Szeto said about the release:

As an amateur musician and songwriter, I have always been drawn to the music of The Beatles. The creation of the Yellow Submarine model was really my way of showing my affection for The Beatles, as well as trying to pay a small tribute to The Beatles phenomenon. The Yellow Submarine is bright, fun, and colourful, which also made it a good subject to translate into LEGO form.
