AC/DC's earliest recordings with founding vocalist Dave Evans have remained one of Australian rock's great unknowns for more than half a century. While fans have long debated the extent of Evans' contribution before Bon Scott's arrival in late 1974, very little has ever been formally confirmed-until now.

Melbourne is turning the volume all the way up as the city prepares to welcome home one of its most iconic exports, AC/DC. In a nod to the legendary band's roots, hundreds of Victorian bagpipers will descend on Fed Square on Wednesday 12 November for The Great Melbourne Bagpipe Bash, an event set to recreate one of the most famous moments in Australian rock history and attempt a world record at the same time.

AC/DC will play their first Australian dates since 2015 in November 2025. All is set for two shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and one for Adelaide.

Angus Young says he doesn’t care about guitarist polls and is not fussed about where they rank him. In Rolling Stone’s Best Guitarist poll Angus was ranked at no 38 below St Vincent, Maybelle Carter, Joni Mitchell and John Frusciante.

Rose Carleo will join the Live Wire – AC/DC Tribute show in Fremantle in July.

Corey Glover and Living Colour will be part of the second annual birthday bash for Bon Scott of AC/DC’s 79th. The date has been set for July 9 at the Bowery Electric, New York. This is an official event endorses by the Estate of Bon Scott.

‘High Voltage’, the debut album for AC/DC, is 50 years old.
