Bona fide Oklahoma freaks The Flaming Lips have announced two sideshows for November’s Harvest Fest.

Following the Portishead and The National sideshows, and the just-announced Family Stone and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble double bill, we have two new sideshow dates for legendary psychedelic indie rock nutters The Flaming Lips.

A Flaming Lips show has become known as a guaranteed evening of uplifting music and purely joyful crowds, not least due to their costumes, confetti, giant hamster balls and other surprises.

The band will bring their traveling circus to Adelaide and Melbourne only.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday October 7

The Flaming Lips Sideshows
Wednesday 16 November – Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
Thursday 17 November – The Palace, Melbourne
