The Living End’s Andy Strachan Reveals Side-Project The Pants Collective

Andy Strachan of The Living End has revealed his new side-project The Pants Collective.

For The Pants Collective iAndy gets his Grohl on mainly plays all instruments, similar to when Dave Grohl first introduced Foo Fighters. Andy plays guitar, bass and drums on the first record as well as sings and handles songwriting duties.

The original demo for the track ‘Secrets’ was recorded on Garageband in one take. Andy met with Paul ‘Woody’ Annison (The producer of The Living End) one night at dinner and the pair agreed to record a proper version in the studio. It only took nine short years before they did.

The Pants Collective EP was recorded at Red Door Studios in Melbourne, owned by Annison Living End manager Rae Harvey and The Living End’s singer Chris Cheney and his wife Emma.

The 7-track EP for The Pants Collective will be released on May 30.
