Amy Winehouse talked to Tim Cashmere in the courtyard of an Austin bar. It was around 2pm. Amy had just performed a showcase gig for about 200 people at the SXSW Music Conference in Texas.
After her performance a very relaxed Amy went outside into the courtyard at the bar, had a smoke, grabbed a drink and had a chat to Tim who was in Austin covering the SXSW conference for Noise11.
Amy was not drunken deadbeat often portrayed in the media. Instead she was a level-headed, no ego 20 something person, in fact more down to earth that the average person her age.
As Amy Winehouse spoke it was clear she was uncomfortable with fame and just wanted to be a singer, not a celebrity.
