The Seekers Revert To Their Original Roots with Michael Cristiano announced as new singer

The original Seekers Athol Guy, Keith Potger, Bruce Woodley have announced a new album and live dates with new singer Michael Cristiano who has come on board to recreate the original all-male line-up of the 50s.

Prior to Judith Durham joining The Seekers, the band was an all-male four-piece led by Ken Ray. Judith replaced Ken and the rest was history.

With Michael adding the fourth voice to the line-up, The Seekers have a new album ‘Back To Our Roots’, taking fans back more than 50 years to the songs they sung in the early years and others that they wish they had.

‘Back To Our Roots’ Tom Paxton’s “Last Thing On My Mind” (Bruce Woodley had written with Paxton back in the 60s), Tim Hardin’s “Reason To Believe” (a folk classic), Lonnie Donegan’s “Louisiana Man” (a ‘Seekers’ favourite), Tom Springfield’s “Adios Amor” (originally presented to The Seekers but eventually recorded by Jose Feliciano) and a “special edition” version of Bruce Woodley’s wonderful “I Am Australian”.
