Thelma Plum, Alex Lahey and Julia Jacklin are included in the first 20 artists and albums nominated for a 2019 Australian Music Prize.

This is the 15th Australian Music Prize which over the years has given the coveted prize to With previous winners including Gurrumul, Sampa the Great, Courtney Barnett, Hermitude, The Jezabels, Eddy Current Suppression Ring and The Drones.

The winner of the Australian Music Prize will win $30,000 cash.
