Tommy Emmanuel To Return For Dates In Australia

by Paul Cashmere on May 13, 2015

in Live,News

Tommy Emmanuel, the Australian guitar player Eric Clapton says is “the best I’ve ever seen”, will return home for shows in Australia in August.

The Grammy nominated Emmanuel will play in theatres for Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne from August 9.

Tommy has been a professional musician since he was 6 years old. “When people watch me play, I hope that they feel that they’re watching someone who’s doing when they’re meant to do. It’s like a calling, and I’ve always known that when I played, something good happened to people who have heard it. I can’t wait to get back home and play for old friends and new fans,” said Tommy.

Tommy has discussed his life in a TEDx talk. Tommy explains his job as being in “the happiness business”. “I play music and you get happy,” he said.

Tommy Emmanuel dates

August 9, Adelaide, Festival Theatre
August 10, Sydney, Opera House
August 11, Brisbane, QPAC
August 13, Perth, Concert Hall
August 15, Melbourne, Hamer Hall
