Toni Braxton has postponed a concert after being hospitalized due to complications related to her battle with lupus.

Toni Braxton was due to perform in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday on her The Hits tour, but fans were left disappointed when the gig was postponed at the last minute.

“Toni Braxton was hospitalised this afternoon in Cleveland due to complications with her Lupus,” her team wrote on Twitter on Saturday afternoon. “Unfortunately her show tonight in Cleveland will need to be postponed.”

“Lupus needs to be constantly monitored and this minor setback should not affect the rest of her tour. Tickets for tonight’s show will be honoured at the re-scheduled date that will be announced shortly,” they added.

The announcement comes after Toni took to the stage in Kansas City on Friday (14Oct16), where her boyfriend Birdman made a special appearance to close the show.

This isn’t the first time the 49-year-old has had to postpone concerts on her latest tour.

Earlier this month, she spent the weekend in a Los Angeles hospital for complications related to her battle with lupus, an autoimmune condition.

She was later discharged to recover at home, and pushed back the first two dates of her The Hits tour so she could continue to rest.

“I am so excited about going back on the road and seeing all of my wonderful fans and friends,” she said in a statement to E! Online. “Everyone’s life is complicated and this is just a condition that I live with.”

Toni is next due to perform at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago on Sunday.
