US Postal Service Releases Janis Joplin Stamp

The U.S. Postal Service has released the image for their latest salute to a classic music artist, Janis Joplin.

The image was first revealed in the Quarter 3 issues of the USA Philatelic Catalog according to Linn’s Stamp News. It is scheduled for release in August although an exact date has not been announced.

Joplin’s is the fifth stamp in the Music Icons series which has previously honored Lydia Mendoza, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles and Jimi Hendrix.
