Van Halen and Billy Joel will headline the new Stone Music Festival in Sydney in April.

The Stone Music Festival has seemingly popped out of nowhere but is scheduled to take place at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium over the weekend of April 20 and 21.

The name of the festival is a homage to the 1974 biker movie Stone.

Artists announced for the Stone Music Festival are Van Halen, Kings of Chaos, Richie Ramone and Buckcherry on Saturday April 20 and Billy Joel, Lifehouse and Illumination Band on Sunday April 21.

Australian acts will be announced shortly.
