Van Halen Heading To Interscope?

As long as they have existed, Van Halen has recorded for Warner Brothers records, but that is about to change. There are strong rumors that sometime next week, the band will become part of the Interscope family which is part of the Universal Music Group.

They will be joining big artists like Eminem, Lady Gaga, U2, the Black Eyed Peas, Blink-182 and Enrique Iglesias who all record for the company.

The jump from Warner Brothers has been rumored for quite some time, including a turn back in September that had them going to Columbia, but the Interscope deal seems pretty much done after a number of meetings with the top brass of the label presenting a universal marketing plan for all aspects of the group’s activities.

Expect the announcement of the deal and the new album to all come to a head by or on November 30 when the group is rumored to (well, the Grammy organizational already tweeted they pretty much will) make an appearance on the Grammy Nomination concert.
