Youth Group To Play November Shows Around Halloween Album

Youth Group will perform in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in November to showcase their first album in a decade ‘Australian Halloween’.

Singer Toby Martin explains the 10 year gap. “I’d been living in England for about a year with my family, and I saw this abandoned laundromat and thought it would make a good place to write songs. So I rented it out for a couple of weeks and in my head I thought ‘Oh great! I’ll write this very English solo album. It’ll be a whole new direction’,” Martin says. “But the songs that came out were all about Australia and how I was missing it. And most surprisingly they had a real Youth Group sound to them.”

Youth Group dates

Friday 8 November – Northcote Social Club, Melbourne
Friday 15 November – The Foundry, Brisbane
Saturday 16 November – The Lansdowne, Sydney
