Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen has been appointed Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion during a ceremony in Nijmegen, the Dutch city where he spent his early childhood with brother Eddie Van Halen.

Toto’s Steve Lukather has addressed the recent story in Dutch newspaper De Telegraah which stated he was making a new Van Halen album with Alex Van Halen.

There could very well be another Van Halen album, according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraah.

Alex Van Halen is auctioning off his equipment right down to the last drumstick because he is done with the music business.

Van Halen took advantage of the estimated 1,000,000 people descending on Times Square in New York and the 100 million watching on TV on New Year’s Eve to unveil what is believed to be the album cover for the new album.
