Paul Stanhope, Alex Turley, Mindy Meng Wang, Monica Lim, Nat Bartsch and Liza Lim AM were among the major recipients as Australia's art music community gathered in Melbourne for the 2026 Art Music Awards.

Internationally acclaimed composer, educator and researcher Professor Liza Lim AM will receive the Richard Gill Award for Distinguished Services to Australian Music at the 2026 Art Music Awards in Melbourne on 19 August.

The 2026 Art Music Awards will return to Melbourne in August, bringing together composers, performers and industry leaders to celebrate achievements across Australia's contemporary classical, jazz and experimental music communities.

The 2025 Art Music Awards were celebrated in grand style at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Thursday, 21 August, bringing together Australia’s leading voices in contemporary classical, jazz, experimental music and sound art. Presented by APRA AMCOS and the Australian Music Centre (AMC), the event recognised outstanding achievement, innovation, and contribution across the national art music community.
