Boz Scaggs will return this October with Detour, his first studio album in seven years. The record, due October 17 via Concord Records, marks the Grammy-winning vocalist and guitarist’s long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Out of the Blues and finds him exploring the Great American Songbook with his trademark mix of finesse, soul and subtlety.

Half a century after it first conquered charts around the world, Elton John’s landmark 1975 album Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy is being celebrated with a special 50th Anniversary Edition, due October 24th.

The Who’s landmark 1978 album Who Are You is returning in spectacular form with an expansive new 7CD/Blu-Ray Super Deluxe Edition box set, offering the deepest dive yet into what would ultimately become the final studio record to feature Keith Moon before his untimely death that same year.

John Lennon’s Instant Karma (We All Shine On) has premiered in a newly released live performance video ahead of the arrival of his Power To The People deluxe box set, due 10 October. The track, recorded at Lennon’s One to One concerts at Madison Square Garden in 1972, is one of the standout moments from what would ultimately become the only full concerts Lennon ever performed in his post-Beatles life.

Few live rock albums have the mythic status of Deep Purple’s Made in Japan. Recorded across three blistering nights in August 1972 and originally released in late 1972/early 1973, it’s the record that crystallised the ferocious power of Deep Purple’s Mk II lineup (Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Lord, Roger Glover and Ian Paice) and set a blueprint for stadium-scale hard rock and heavy metal live performance.
