ZZ Top have cancelled their scheduled Hollywood Bowl concert with Cheap Trick due to what management has described as "unforeseen personnel matters", with automatic refunds to be issued for all ticket holders.

ZZ Top have adjusted two dates on their extensive 2026 The Big One! Tour to accommodate Billy Gibbons' appearance at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, while the band's international touring schedule continues across Europe, North America and South America through to late November.

Steve Cropper & The Midnight Hour will release Watching The Tide on August 28, a final studio statement from Steve Cropper completed before his passing in December 2025, featuring Eric Clapton, Brian May, Billy Gibbons and Ronnie Wood among a wide cast of collaborators.

ZZ Top have added in a dozen new dates to the North American tour following the return of drummer Frank Beard.

On Wednesday April 9, 2025, the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale, MS will honor Billy Gibbons with a tribute to ZZ Top and homage to Muddy Waters.

Las Vegas declared 22 December 2024 to be Billy Gibbons Day this year.
