Richard O’Brien is the creator of the Rocky Horror Show and played Riff-Raff in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
New Zealand’s O’Brien wrote the Rocky Horror Show after losing his job working in the cast of the original Jesus Christ Superstar production in London. He tells us it is actually a retelling of the Adam & Eve story done in a sci-fi, horror setting and that the hit song ‘The Time Warp’ was written as a joke song.
