Richard O’Brien To Join Melbourne Cast Of Rocky Horror Show

The Rocky Horror Show creator Richard O’Brien will perform with the Australian cast for one week from June 30.

O’Brien wrote The Rocky Horror Show and played Riff Raff in the movie.

On June 30 he will join the Australian cast in the role of the Narrator. O’Brien will be part of the Melbourne season on June 30 and July 1, 2, 5 (5:30pm show), 7, 8 and 9. Bert Newton, who is currently playing the Narrator role, will continue to perform at all other shows.

The Rocky Horror Show returned to Melbourne with opening night last Sunday, June 14, 2015. The cast includes Craig McLachlan as Frank N Furter Amy Lehpalmer plays Janet, Stephan Mahy is Brad, Kristian Lavercombe is Riff Raff, Jade Westerby is Magenta, Nicholas Christo is Eddie and Dr Scott, Angelique Cassimatis is Columbia, Brendan Irving is Rocky and Newton as the Narrator. The show will run until July 12 in Melbourne.
