Steve Kilbey has had a remarkable creative output. In around 40 years he has released around 70 albums … but who is really counting?

In 2021 Steve Kilbey and the Winged Heels have released ‘The Hall of Counterfeits’. For Kilbey this is an album of depth and breadth. You can listen to just the music, just the words or (hopefully) both.

Steve Kilbey has a great understanding of the meaning of life and uses his songs to express his knowledge. On ‘The Hall of Counterfeits’ you get the philosophical with ‘I’ve Been Here Before’, ‘Horizon Meets The Ground’ and ‘Swinging on the Moon’. You’ll also get grounded, quite literally, with ‘Angelsea’ .

Take your time adventuring through ‘The Hall of Counterfeits’, there is a lot to learn.

Steve Kilbey spoke with Noise11’s Paul Cashmere.
