David Bridie is one of Australia’s most enduring and respected musicians.

Starting out as a member of Not Drowning, Waving in the 1980s, Bridie and co-founder John Phillips became one of Australia’s critically acclaimed indie bands.

In 1990 Bridie formed side-project My Friend The Chocolate Cake with Helen Mountford and not long after Not Drowning, Waving officially disbanded.

Bridie also released solo albums and then started working on television and movie soundtracks, the most notable being the Billy Connolly movie The Man Who Sued God.

David’s most recent solo album ‘Wake’ reunites him with John Phillips, who happened to come along with him to Noise11 to perform for Noise11 Sessions and for the first time in over 20 years was interviewed with David.

David Bridie performs ‘Dr Seuss Is Painting In The Sky’ from ‘Wake’ at Noise11.
