Atlanta singer-songwriter Cat Power has been re-confirmed for her trip down under, after recent concerns regarding her current European tour. She will be here in late February and will kick off her tour in Adelaide, before playing at the Perth Festival and then heading east. She will finish up at the Meredith Ampitheatre for the sold out Golden Plains Lucky Seven Festival on 9th March.

Dinosaur Jr. will start in NZ, with a gig at The Powerstation in Auckland on 5th March, before heading to Melbourne. After the festival, the American alternative rock band will travel to Adelaide, before sharing the stage with The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Moon Duo in Perth.

This week, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion were one of the first bands to play in Manhattan following Hurricane Sandy, after just managing to get power back in time for the concert, and raised some much-needed funds for the American Red Cross in the process.

For their Australian sideshows, they are travelling with San Francisco natives, Moon Duo. Having recently released their new album Meat and Bone, the latest in an impressive back catalogue, the New York rockers will start in Brisbane and work their way down the coast, before heading to Perth after Golden Plains. After one night in Adelaide without their lunar sidekicks, they will finish up back in Melbourne.
