Kasey Chambers will release her 10th studio album ‘Bittersweet’ in September and it will be her first album not produced by her brother Nash Chambers.

Recent Australian resident Nick DiDia has produced ‘Bittersweet’ for Kasey. Nick has previously produced Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Bruce Springsteen and The Wallflowers as well as Australia’s The Living End and Powerfinger.

The Nash Chambers produced Kasey Chambers catalogue has sold over 1.2 million albums in Australia alone but Kasey says for this record she needed something different. “I wanted to have an experience making a record that I had never had before. I wanted to challenge myself and I wanted to be excited”, she says.

‘Bittersweet’ will feature appearances by Bernard Fanning of Powderinger, country star Ashleigh Dallas, Dan Kelly and Kasey’s dad Bill Chambers.

The Ashleigh Dallas duet ‘Wheelbarrow’ will be the first single from the album.

‘Bittersweet’ is said to take the Kasey sound back to her most successful record ‘Barricades & Brickwalls’ which sold over 280,000 albums in Australia.

Kasey has won 10 APRA Awards, 20 Golden Guitar Awards and been nominated for two Americana Music Awards.

‘Bittersweet’ will be released on August 29, 2014.

Kasey will perform at the Gympie Music Muster.
