The Production Company Launch 2013

At the launch of the 2013 season this week, Chairman Jeanne Pratt said, “It is hard to believe that it’s fifteen years since I started this company. My dream in 1999 was twofold: to provide professional opportunities to local artists and to entertain Melbourne audiences with the best shows from Broadway and beyond. Our success has been beyond my wildest dreams.”

‘Gypsy’ will be the first show of the season. It will star Caroline O’Connor, returning to The Production Company after helping launch the company in 1999.

‘Singing In The Rain’ stars Rohan Browne, Matt Lee, Alinta Chizey and Christie Whelan-Browne.

‘The Pirates of Penzance’ is a special one for The Production Company’s Artistic Director Ken Mackenzie-Forbes. 30 years ago the Australian production was his first major production.

Dates for The Production Company 2013 season are:

Gypsy: July 10-14, State Theatre, Melbourne
Singing In The Rain: August 21 to 25, State Theatre, Melbourne
The Pirates of Penzance: October 30-November 3, Hamer Hall, Melbourne
