40 McCartney and 47 Beatles Songs Paul McCartney Could Have Played But Didn’t

Paul McCartney’s Perth and first Melbourne show featured a 40 song setlist of Beatles and McCartney solo classic.

Sir Paul sang 24 Beatles songs and 16 McCartney or Wings songs over a three hour period at each of the first two show but what didn’t he sing that he could have.

REVIEW: Paul McCartney Plays His First Melbourne Show In 24 Years

Noise11.com has compiled a list of 40 solo McCartney songs that he could have sung and a further 47 Beatles songs he could have sung byt didn’t at the first two shows.

Some of the songs on the list that weren’t played at the first two shows popped up in the second Melbourne show (but were replacements not additions). They included ‘Jet’ by Wings and ‘I Saw Here Standing There’ by The Beatles.

The incredible thing here is that Paul McCartney could easily do four shows with 40 songs each and not repeat a song and you would still know every song. No-one other act on Earth (including the Rolling Stones) could do that.
