The rapper, who is more likely seen hanging with people like Floyd Mayweather Jr. these day, has announced his new company TMT (The Money Team).

50 Cent is now licensed to promote boxing matches in the state of New York. He is also in the process of obtaining a licence for the state of Nevada where he will be able to put on matches in Las Vegas.

He also already signed two inactive world class fighter, gold medalist and former featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa and middleweight, and former Olympic medalist Andre Dirrell.

The new 50 Cent TMT company is viewed as a positive move for Boxing in the sports media.

50 Cent was a former boxer himself. At age 11 he started boxing and in the mid 80s competed as an amateur boxer in the Junior Olympics.
