Aerosmith Announce First Dates For 2016

Aerosmith is going on the road, which is a small miracle in itself with the band members involved in so many projects.

Steven Tyler is, of course, trying to kick start a country career in Nashville while Joe Perry is part of the Hollywood Vampires with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp. Earlier this month, Brad Whitford announced that he was getting back together with old duet partner Derek St. James for a new album and tour.

All of these projects will fall by the wayside on September 16 when Aerosmith come back together to play at the Kaaboo Festival in Del Mar, CA. The festival, in its second year, boosts a long list of artists including such veterans as Jimmy Buffett, Lenny Kravitz, Hall and Oates and Goo Goo Dolls along with modern acts like Fall Out Boy and OneRepublic.

Then, from October 11 to 21, the group has set three dates in Brazil:

10/11 – Porto Alegre, Brazil – Anfiteatro Beira Rio
10/15 – Sao Paulo, Brazil – Allianz Parque
10/21 – Recife, Brazil – Classic Hall

Aerosmith last played together on September 5 in Moscow while their last U.S. show was August 7, 2015 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. There have been rumors and statements that their next tour will be the group’s last but that has not been mentioned in the announcement of the above four dates.
