Black Sorrows Clocked Up 18th Studio Album With Citizen John

‘Citizen John’ is the 18th studio album for The Black Sorrows. That’s a remarkable feat considering we are not counting compilations and live albums, any of the Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons albums.

Black Sorrows first release was the mini-album ‘Sonala’ in 1984. The first full album was ‘Rockin’ Zydeco’ in 1985, the first Top 10 album was ‘Hold On To Me’ in 1988 and that was also the band’s first international hit reaching #6 in Norway and #18 in Sweden.

The most recent album ‘Citizen John’ was released in March.

The Black Sorrows will perform for One Electric Day in November with John Farnham, Jon Stevens, Vanessa Amorosi and Southern Sons
