Blood Sweat And Tears To Tour With No Original Members

by Paul Cashmere on April 7, 2015

in Live,News

Blood Sweat and Tears will tour Australia in September even through there are no original members left in the band.

The name Blood Sweat and Tears is owned by original drummer Bobby Colomby who is no longer a touring member of the band.

When asked to justify the credibility of the current line-up, Colomby says, “When you’re at a Yankee game you do not expect to see Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. They’re not going to be there. But what you will see is a top-notch brand, the pinstripes, and the best possible combination of players on the field to represent the Yankee legend. So that when the Yankees play magnificently and win, no one’s going to say, “Where’s the Bambino: Where’s Mickey Mantle?”

The Blood Sweat and Tears tour is bound to draw comparisons to non-original Little River Band that tours the US without any original members.

The original Blood Sweat and Tears formed in 1967 in New York City. The band has a string of global hits in the 60s and 70s including ‘Spinning Wheel’, ‘Hi-De-Ho’, ‘And When I Die’ and ‘Lucretia Mac Evil’.
