Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band treated Brisbane to his deepest cuts so far with a setlist of rarities leaving even the most die-hard of fans gobsmacked.

The rarities heavy night features three songs from the ‘Tracks’ compilation, three from ‘Lucky Town’, one from the ‘Chimes of Freedom’ EP and ‘Secret Garden’, the song exclusive to 1995’s ‘Greatest Hits’.

‘Janey Don’t You Lose Heart’, a Born In The USA off-shoot originally the b-side to ‘I’m Going Down’, ‘Back In Your Arms’ from the rarities compilation Tracks, ‘Leap Of Faith’ from ‘Lucky Town’ and ‘Secret Garden’ were all played for the first time on this Australian tour in Brisbane last night.

Leo Sayer Shares His Thoughts on The Passing of Sly Stone

There really is a riot going on right now, so what a poignant moment it seems to be to lose a hero I never met, yet a man I often imagined as my soul brother. I worked with many of his alumni (including the man who helped invent him, fellow San Fran disk jockey Tom Donahue), and to say they and he inspired me would be a useless understatement.
