Cat Stevens will donate over $1 million to charities around the world from his ‘A Cat’s Attic – Peace Train Tour’ with a number of Australian charities becoming beneficiaries.

Australian priorities are ‘Rural Aid Australia’ assisting drought-afflicted farmers, the ‘Gallipoli Home Care Centre’ helping the elderly and cancer sufferers through the ‘Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre’

Others are Indigenous Literacy Foundation, Addison Road Community Centre Organisation and Concern Worldwide.

In a statement Yusuf said, “I believe that concerts are positive opportunities to receive as well as to give back, making people happy is what I love to do.”

Cat Stevens toured Australia and New Zealand in 2017 for Paul Dainty. Cat Stevens played nine shows for Dainty on the world tour.
