Retired AC/DC bass player Cliff Williams appears to be back in AC/DC.

Cliff announced his retirement from the band after the Rock or Bust tour. “It’s been what I’ve known for the past 40 years, but after this tour I’m backing off of touring and recording,” he told Gulf Shore Life. “Losing Malcolm, the thing with Phil and now with Brian, it’s a changed animal. I feel in my gut it’s the right thing.”

Cliff joined AC/DC is 1978 following the departure of Mark Evans. A photo posted to Instagram suggests Cliff is back in the band. He was photographed in Vancouver with Brian Johnson, who we know is back because he was spotted at the Sessions.

Until now, the Cliff return was only a rumour until Blabbermouth discover the photographic evidence that Cliff is back as well.

The AC/DC line-up now as well know it is Brian Johnson on vocals, Angus Young guitar, Stevie Young on guitar, Phil Rudd on drums and Cliff Williams on bass.

Songs from the album will feature riffs from the late Malcolm Young’s vault.
