Cosmic Psychos Story Told In Blokes You Can Trust Documentary

A documentary has been made to tell the story of iconic Australian 80s punk band Cosmic Psychos.

Cosmic Psychos have reformed again for dates across Australia in August to mark the release of their documentary ‘Blokes You Can Trust’.

‘Blokes You Can Trust’ features commentary from Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Donita Sparks (L7), Buzz Osbourne (The Melvins) and Butch Vig (Garage) and tells the story of a Melbourne pub rock band that an influence on the bands who created the Seattle scene 5 years later.

‘Blokes You Can Trust’ was directed by Melbourne filmmaker Matt Weston.

Cosmic Psychos formed in 1982 and released their first album in 1987. The band released five albums up until 1997 before announcing they had come to a “creative end”.

The band fired up again in 2006 and released two albums ‘Off Ya Cruet” and ‘Dung Australia’. Another album ‘Glorius Barsteds’ came from another creative burst in 2011.
