Aussie music legend Daryl Braithwaite has had to cancel his two performances this weekend for Red Hot Summer after taking ill and taken to hospital on Monday.

Braithwaite was scheduled to perform at the two Mornington shows for Red Hot Summer this coming Saturday and Sunday. The Black Sorrows, with Vika and Linda Bull, will now play in his place.

In a statement this morning Daryl said:

Tuesday 17 Jan.

Good morning,

I unfortunately and regrettably have had to cancel this week’s shows due to illness and sudden admission into Hospital.

I am disappointed that I won’t be able to perform at the Australian Open
Tennis tonight nor the Mornington Peninsula RHST shows this weekend.

I am hoping to make a speedy recovery and be back doing shows very soon.

Regards Daryl

The two Red Hot Summer shows at Mornington are sell-outs. The show will also feature John Farnham, James Reyne, Shannon Noll and Taxiride.
