Dave Gleeson is the new lead singer for The Angels following the departure of Doc Neeson from the band.

While Doc says he is still with the band, The Angels have a different story. “Doc announced that he was leaving the band to do a solo career,” John Brewster tells Noise11.com. “Now he seems to be saying he hasn’t”, “but he has,” continues Rick Brewster. “The band goes on and we can,” says John. “Obviously there has been some legal positions taken but we have earned the right to go on.”

Doc Neeson has taken to Facebook to say he is still with the band and will be back. Not so says the band. “The trouble with the posts on Facebook is that people are misinformed. They are getting one side of the story. We just don’t want to enter into it,” Rick says.

The Angels will head out on their ‘Waiting For The Sun’ tour with Dave Gleeson on November 10. There will be a new album with Dave on vocals in 2012.
