Diddy Unlikely To Be Charged Over UCLA Incident

It’s ‘unlikely’ that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will face any legal charges after an altercation with a UCLA football coach in June.

The hip hop star, 45, was arrested in June after he confronted coach San Alosi while watching his son Justin play with the Bruins team at the University of California in Los Angeles.

An informal hearing has now been set for October 15, but Rob Wilcox, spokesman for Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer, says things are looking good for the musician.

“It’s unlikely that charges will be filed,” he told NBC News.

Attorney Mark Geragos, representing the star, has always been adamant charges won’t be necessary.

“I’m gratified that yet another prosecutor has examined the evidence and the facts and decided it is not a criminal case,” he said, “which is what we said from the get go.”

After the arrest on June 22 Diddy posted bail and was released just hours after being taken into custody. In a statement, he said he acted in self-defence and he has since apologised for the incident.

‘One of the things I wanna say about all these altercations: at a certain point in my life, I was handling things in an immature way,’ he admitted. ‘I had to then go from ‘me’ to ‘we’ and I had to look at how much of our money I would be f**king up. So I couldn’t f**k up our money so I had to change and evolve. And so those mishaps are things that now, when I’m in a situation like that, I just leave it in God’s hands and I pray. I let go and I let God.

‘So all those things that happened in the past, they all 100 per cent true. And I have no other comment about them but they’re true and I’m putting that behind me.’
