Doc Neeson’s Final Recording Walking In The Rain Comes Full Circle

Doc Neeson’s final recording brought him full circle with his original producers Vanda & Young. Doc’s final song is his cover of the Flash and the Pan’s ‘Walking In The Rain’.

Neeson performed the song in December for ‘RockWiz Salutes Vanda and Young’ and then recorded a studio version produced by Brendan Gallagher for Albert Productions.

‘Walking In Th Rain’ was originally recorded by Flash & The Pan (Harry Vanda and George Young) and released on the ‘Flash and the Pan’ self-titled album on 1979. The song was covered by Grace Jones for her 1981 album ‘Nightclubbing’.

Former Easybeats Harry Vanda and George Young produced the first album for The Angels released in 1977. It featured what was to become the band’s signature song ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’.

The family of Doc Neeson will hold a private funeral for the singer in Sydney next Wednesday.
